Update

Thanks to all who made our appearance at the Outsider Art Fair a smashing success! This was a good fair this year and it was a great pleasure to be part of a field that seems to be able to recreate itself periodically. We were reaffirmed in our mission to introduce lesser known artists of quality. Some photos of new work , though not even close to all, follow. Our next exhibition will be Japanese Contemporary Ceramics which fit in beautifully with all our collections, and then we start work on the main Spring Exhibition called Indigenous Drawing. The Artist Ashoona, whom we introduced at the Fair, is a preview of this exhibition. She is an Inuit and draws rock formations from memory that are said to be amazingly accurate despite their abstraction. Her autism has not interfered in any way with her deep interaction with her culture and has probably added to her ability to take in the sacred landscapes with such powerful detail.
