Though her work comes from a new tradition of drawings, Pushpa is the iconoclast of the group taking her questionings of the universe and her bold more sensual imagery light years further than those of her compatriots. We are always attracted to and fascinated by those who maintain the power of traditional knowledge but are driven to take it somewhere new and controversial. The Tsunami drawing is particularly strong.

Pushpa's work is becoming better known through the work of minhazz Mujudar in New Delhi. Minhazz has written an excellent article about her for Raw Vision #54 Spring 2006
I admire Pushpa for daring to work on current themes rather than continuing religious subjects and local imagery.
